Every student enrolled in TRU Law is a member of the TRU Society of Law Students (SLS). The SLS is a non-profit student organization that acts as a representative body for all TRU Law students. The SLS works with faculty, the local community of Kamloops, and members of the Canadian legal profession to enrich the student experience at TRU Law. The SLS encourages students to make continuing positive contributions in their local and professional communities during and after law school.
Each year, the members elect a group of their peers to serve on the TRU SLS Executive. The SLS Executive works to advance the SLS mission of supporting students with the resources and services they need to graduate as academically, civically, environmentally, socially conscious and capable alumni. Fulfilling that mandate includes supporting our students’ professional, as well as personal development while at TRU Law. In order to achieve this, the SLS rely heavily on our generous sponsors, donors, and partners, in order to host a series of annual programs, activities and events.
