Each year, the Thompson Rivers University Society of Law Students (SLS) hosts a student-led conference exploring a significant or emerging area of law.

This year, we are pleased to present Class Actions: From Claim to Resolution, taking place on March 4, 2027, at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. Organized in collaboration with TRU Faculty of Law and Professor Craig Jones, K.C., a leading expert in class actions, the conference will connect members of the legal profession, academics, and students for a full day of discussion and learning.

The conference will examine the various stages of class action proceedings, from the commencement of a claim and certification through litigation, settlement, and resolution. Drawing on their professional experience, speakers will address the legal, procedural, and practical considerations that arise in complex class action matters across different industries and areas of law.
